Applicants for teacher scholarships should email the application form to Professional Learning Section and should request principal endorsement to be sent to the section by fax. Links are provided below to application forms and principal endorsement forms for the respective teacher scholarships schemes.
A teacher scholarships information session about programs for 2011 will be held from 3:45 pm on Wednesday 22 September 2010 at the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL).
Targeted Scholarships
Targeted scholarships for teachers in 2011 will continue to provide places in two areas:
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) – University of Canberra
• Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) – University of Canberra
Applications for these targeted programs will close at COB on Tuesday 19 October 2010.
Both programs will commence in February 2011. Links to the relevant forms are provided below.

National Asian Languages and Studies in Schools Project (NALSSP)
2011-2012 Teacher Scholarships
Applications are invited from DET/CEO/AIS teachers for NALSSP scholarships for 2011-2012. Applications close Friday 20th August 2010.

Certificate of Gifted Education (COGE) Teacher Scholarships
COGE is an intensive training program offered through the Gifted Education Research, Resource & Information Centre (GERRIC), at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). It is designed to equip teachers with skills to identify intellectually and academically gifted students in their schools and develop curricula and programs for students to further develop their potential. Participants, via on-line and/or face-to-face learning, work with a team of nationally and internationally renowned experts in the education of gifted and talented children, led by Australia’s leading researcher in gifted education, Professor Miraca Gross, AO.
Ten COGE Teacher Scholarships will be funded by Curriculum Support, Centre for Learning and Teaching. The contact person for Gifted and Talented (G&T) is:
