Guide to Choosing Engineering Schools

29 Feb

If you are interested in becoming an engineer, one of the basic requirements is to take an engineering degree. There are several things you can do to find the right engineering degree school for yourself.

First of all, you will need to choose on the type of program you want to complete. One would be engineering technology, while the other, engineering. The difference is that in engineering technology, there will be more practical and hands-on programs; meanwhile, engineering is more of a theoretical program. With engineering technology, it will take about two years to complete, while engineering will take about four years to complete. If you are interested in working towards an associate degree of science or applied sciences, engineering technology might be more suitable. Nevertheless, in order to choose on this, you could reckon about the type of job you are interested in working as in the future.

After that, you can look for engineering degree schools that are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). This accreditation indicates that program adheres to the acceptable standards of engineering programs. To find out if a school is accredited by ABET, you can visit the ABET homepage, or you could look out for the ABET logo on a school’s website.

Apart from that, when looking for engineering degree schools, you could pay the schools a visit if possible. It is vital for one to be able to study in an environment they are comfortable with, as well as receive the type of teaching style that suits them so that they can know the hard syllabus well. Some schools may be more competitive than others as well, so you will need to see if that is the kind of atmosphere you want to get into. Do check out their learning resources like library and laboratories, too, if they are up-to-date and complete. You could check out student or school forums to gain insight on these matters if you cannot visit the school itself. Choosing the right engineering school for you will certainly aid you throughout your studies.

[Denmark] PhD scholarships in Organic Synthesis and Polymer Chemistry at DTU Nanotech

[Denmark] PhD scholarships in Organic Synthesis and Polymer Chemistry at DTU Nanotech

college scholarships

PhD scholarships in Organic Synthesis and Polymer Chemistry at DTU Nanotech

Overview

Two full PhD scholarships are offered by the CBIO group at the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology (DTU Nanotech). The CBIO group has extensive collaboration with several Pharma and Medico companies in Denmark and the positions will be part of these collaborations. The positions are part of a larger effort in development of synthetic gene delivery systems at the forefront of nanomedicine research.

Position 1: Surface engineering of nanoparticles

One of the major tasks in the development of nanoparticle systems for both drug delivery and diagnostic applications is controlled surface functionalization and surface coating. We need to develop multienveloped systems where modern synthetic chemistry is a highly vital tool. There is furthermore a need to develop new synthetic tools for the quantification of the biomolecular functionalization and to characterize how this is influenced by nanoparticle surface chemistry and morphology. This position is open to a student with a background in organic synthesis or polymer chemsitry.

Position 2: Biodegradable transfection systems

Current cellular transfection strategies of DNA/RNA utilize cationic lipid and polymer systems (polyplexes) that show cellular toxicity and are thus unsuitable for in vivo use. There is a need to develop new biodegradable polymer systems that are less toxic to cells. This PhD project is focused on the synthesis of new polymers for lowering the toxicity without hampering the transfection efficiency. One part of the project is focused on fluorescent labeling of the polyplexes to conduct cellular trafficking and organelle localization experiments. The successful candidate will have a background in synthetic organic chemistry or polymer chemistry.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a master`s degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master`s degree in engineering.

Approval and Enrolment

The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general plotting of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.

Salary and appointment terms

The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The period of employment is 3 years.

Further information

Further information may be obtained from Thomas.andresen@nanotech.dtu.dk, tel: +45 4677 5480.

You can read more about DTU Nanotech and the CBIO group at www.nanotech.dtu.dk.

Application

We must have your online application by 3 December 2010. Please open the link “apply for this job online”, fill in the application form and attach all the following documents:

  • Curriculum vitae of the applicant including a list of publications (guidelines)
  • A letter motivating the application (guidelines)
  • Grade transcripts and BSc/MSc diploma
  • Conversion of grade averages to Danish grades (excel spreadsheet for the conversion)
  • Candidates may apply prior to ob¬tai¬ning their master`s degree, but cannot start before having received it.

3 Teknik Oral Seks yang Membuat Wanita Mabuk Kepayang

28 Feb

Ssssh…

Setelah orgasme, kembali lakukan penetrasi seperti posisi semula. Dengan begini, pasangan akan merasakan kenikmatan yang tidak putus-putus.

3. Under the Sink
